Cup of Coffee: August 29, 2025

Hi all –

Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm taking a personal day because I spent all day farting around in Chicago and then I saw Oasis last night.

It was so fun. They're God's perfect idiots. I love them so.

Feel free to talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a couple of topics:

• Mark Teixeira is running for Congress on a pro-Trump MAGA horseshit platform. A right wing baseball player? Now I've seen everything!
• Kyle Schwarber hit four damn home runs last night; and
• Corey Seager had an appendectomy. Which means the Rangers lost their best pitcher and best hitter for an extended period within days of each other. Dang.

Or talk about something else? I don't care. It's my day off.
