Cup of Coffee: July 22, 2025

Hi all!

As I mentioned yesterday, there's no newsletter today because I spent all day yesterday with my kids at Cedar Point:

We did do things besides loiter in tthe little kids' section of the park, but they were super excited about meeting one of their heroes all the same.

We rode roller coasters. Lots and lots of roller coasters. Most notably the Millennium Force which we rode three times and which, despite being 25 years old, is still, hands-down, the best amusement park ride ever. All three of us agree. You can take issue with that but you'd be wrong.

We got back pretty late last night, but I did see that the Red Sox-Phillies game ended on a walkoff, replay reviewed catcher's interference on a non-swing which scored the Manfred Man who reached third without the benefit of a hit. I'm struggling to think if a baseball game has ever ended any less-basebally than that but I sorta doubt it.
