The Murder of Alex Jeffrey Pretti

Alex Jeffrey Pretti's death on Saturday wasn't the result of a mere shooting. It was an execution. State terrorists, angry that he was filming their activities with his phone, surrounded him, pepper-sprayed him, thew him down, pinned him to the ground, disarmed him, and then, with malice and conscience aforethought, fired at least ten bullets into him while he was utterly helpless to do anything. The gunmen, as Albert Burneko of Defector quite accurately put it, are still at large.

Within the hour our highest government officials had taken to the airwaves to slander and demonize Pretti in an effort to cover up the crime. Indeed, as far as can be told the federal government has no plans to investigate Pretti's murder.

Federal officials have refused to disclose the identities of the agents who killed Pretti. Feds on the ground actively blocked state and local authorities from even accessing the crime scene over which they have jurisdiction. Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison was forced to take the extraordinary step of asking a federal judge for a temporary restraining order to prevent DHS agents from actively destroying evidence. The judge then took the extraordinary step of issuing such an order. It's utterly astonishing that such a thing had to be done. I nonetheless have zero faith that DHS officials will actually abide by that order. They no doubt presume that some higher court judge will eventually do what higher courts have been doing for the past year and give cover to the regime as it continues its evil an lawless rampage across America and the world. Or maybe Trump will just pardon everyone involved.

Pretti's parents issued a statement on Saturday night:

“We are heartbroken but also very angry.
"Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.
"Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.
"The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.
"Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you”

This is the second unarmed person murdered by masked federal agents in Minneapolis in less than three weeks.

On January 7, Renee Nicole Good was shot three times as she attempted to move he car away from the masked agents who had surrounded it. As with Pretti, the federal government slandered and demonized Good as well, telling blatant lies about her in an effort to justify their unjustifiable murder of a human being who presented harm to absolutely no one.

While it's the absolute coldest of comforts, it does appear that Pretti's murder and the outrage it immediately caused has helped some who have been less-than-impressive in opposing the Regime's reign of terror find their voice. Chuck Schumer announced on Saturday that the Senate will not lend any support to the current appropriations bill that is required to fund the government as long as it includes ICE funding. The Democrats' social media accounts, meanwhile, have finally figured out that there is something to talk about other than the price of groceries or how good Michelle Obama looked in a recent photo:

Other Democrats are calling for the prosecution of ICE officials. It's a start.

But it's only a start. Because while, for the moment, all the opposition can do is attempt to block legislation and rally public opinion, eventually people must be held responsible for these and the countless other crimes of this brutal, authoritarian regime.

President Donald Trump is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and he must be held to account.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and she must be held to account.

Assistant Chief of Staff and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and he must be held to account.

White House Border Tom Homan is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and he must be held to account.

ICE Director Todd Lyons is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and he must be held to account.

ICE Commander Greg Bovino is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and he must be held to account.

The agents who fired these killing shots, who have injured, maimed, and brutalized people on the streets and who have kidnapped and disappeared thousands of people are responsible and they must be held to account.

Each and every public official and person of influence who has supported, defended, enabled, excused, and lied for the Regime over the past year is responsible for these murders and the suffering of thousands the regime has inflicted upon the innocent and the helpless and they must be held to account.

There can be no rest until there is justice. There can be no America until the lawless fascists who are destroying it and its people are forcibly cast aside and get what is coming to them.
